AOL Cityguide http://www.digitalcity.com/cincinnati April 2005 Cincy-Cinco There's more to May 3 than frozen margaritas. This Cinco de Mayo celebration is fit for the family, boasting nine event pavilions that will entertain and inspire. Mambo your way to the Dance Pavilion, where professional groups will perform the traditional dances of Puerto Rico, Peru and Mexico. The Music Pavilion (outside Riverbend's West Gate) will come alive with the sounds of South America when bands like Tropicoso, Grupo Son and Mariachi Zelaya take the stage. Children are the real winners this year, with a special Dia de los Ninos planned just for them on April 30. School performances, art competitions, bingo games and storytelling, round out the day in the Children's Pavilion, located by the Land of Oz shelters. Visit the Health Pavilion for complimentary screenings, tour the Business Pavilion for local freebies and bring college-bound teens to the Education Pavilion for information you just can't do without. There's plenty in store, including sporting competitions and more ethnic food than you can chew on. -- Lisa Jonas
