Cincy Cinco Festival this Weekend at Riverbend Today
is Cinco De Mayo. That holiday observes the Mexican Battle of Puebla. These days,
people use the day as an opportunity to celebrate the Hispanic culture. The U.S.
Census Bureau says Hispanics are the largest minority in the United States, with
an estimated population of 41 point three million people. The Hispanic population
is expected to grow by more than one point seven million a year. You can explore
the hispanic culture this weekend.Neil Comber joined Local 12 Saturday with details
on Cincy Cinco. They include: Cincy Cinco starts at Noon today and runs
to eleven this evening at the plaza at Riverbend Music Center.The "Fiesta De Pueblo"
starts at six o'clock.Sunday, Cincy Cinco runs from noon to eight PM. A special
mass starts at 11:30 AM. Admission is 10 dollars, children 16 and under are free. |
